As with any product, particular attention should be paid to the manufacturer’s instructions regarding the proper assembly of the cribs, and their intended use. The cribs' drop sides can detach or otherwise fail, causing part of the drop side to fall out of position, creating a space into which an infant or toddler can roll and become wedged or entrapped. Drop side crib incidents can also occur due to incorrect assembly or age-related wear and tear. Age is also factor in the safety of any crib. Do not attempt to fix any crib with homemade remedies.
